New break hall and duo sports facility
at a girls secondary school in Erding
As envisioned by the architect, this construction was designed as a "hanging roof". It was made possible by a combination of a central steel and wood truss, with glued laminated beams on each side of the structure. The truss serves as a a skylight and creates peaceful illumination of the space.
All of the support structures are made of laminated wood and steel. All roof elements and complete facade work feature a lot of glass, as well as steel and glulam timber.
